Nice comfort food for winter months

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken fricasse

1/2 c leeks, chopped
2 large onions, chopped
5 carrots, chopped
5 celery stalks, chopped
4 tbsp olive oil
1 1/10 kg chicken breast
2 small apples, chopped
3 tbsp dill, chopped
1 tbsp salt
6 c water

Recipe Directions for Chicken fricasse

  1. Drench chicken breast in some flour and brown in the dutch oven with 3 tbsp olive oil

  2. Set the browned chicken breast aside and add 1 tbsp of olive oil to the pot

  3. Sautee leeks and onions until slightly brown and translucent

  4. Add chopped celery, carrots and apples and sautee for another 5 min

  5. Add water and chicken pieces and cook until chicken and veggies are cooked through

  6. Add dill and season to taste

  7. You can add dumplings to this meal
