2 T. vegetable oil
7 oz. onions, chopped
6 cans (14oz) chicken broth, low sodium
1 t. poultry seasoning
1 t. salt
1/2 t. pepper
14 oz. carrots
14 oz. celery
1 refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (16.3oz)
1 can (10.5oz) chicken gravy

Recipe Directions for Chicken & Dumplings **updated**

  1. In a small frying pan, heat oil. Add onions and cook until tender.

  2. In a large pot, add broth, seasoning, salt, pepper, and veggies.

  3. Reduce heat and simmer for 10mins. Add chicken.

  4. Remove biscuits from can. On lightly floured surface, roll to 1/4-in thick. Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces.

  5. Skim surface of pot and remove any "scum" that may have formed. Stir in chicken gravy.

  6. Stir in dumplings, a few at a time. Once all dumplings are added, cover with a tight fitting lid and cook for 10mins.
