Delicious and easy Homeade drop style chicken and dumplings

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Dumplings

2.5 cup Light
1233 grams Chicken Broth
2 cup All-Purpose Flour
1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
14 grams Baking Powder
6 serving countryside creamery homestyle spread plus calcium and vitamin D
367 1/2 grams Milk, Nonfat, Fluid
4 serving Boneless SKinless chicken breast with Rib Meat

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Dumplings

  1. Boil ad shred 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast. Set aside

  2. Boil approx 7cups of chicken broth in large pot.

  3. While that is coming to a boil, combine 2cups all purpose flour and 1 cup whole wheat flour in large bowl.

  4. Add 3.5tsp baking bowder. Mix well

  5. Cut in 6tbsp margarine until mixture is clumpy.

  6. Add 1.5cups of milk and mix until smooth batter forms. Do not over mix.

  7. Let batter sit for a minute. Once your broth comes to a nice boil add shredded chicken.

  8. Cook chicken in the broth about 5 mins then add batter to pot by heaping spoonfuls.

  9. Boil entire mixture for 10mins. Carefully stir, scrape bottom of pan to ensure chicken is not sticking.

  10. Reduce heat so the liquid is just boiling. Cover and cook an additional 10 mins.

  11. Serve hot
