Chicken and broccoli in cream soup sauce mix topped with cheese and bread crumbs.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Divan

4 breast chicken, cooked
32 oz broccoli, chopped
24 oz cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup sour cream, light
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup bread crumbs, plain
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
5 tbsp margarine

Recipe Directions for Chicken Divan

  1. Boil or steam chicken until done. Pull into small shreds.

  2. Blanch broccoli cuts, drain and set aside.

  3. Mix soup, sour cream, mayonnaise and lemon juice in large mixing bowl.

  4. Grease 13 x 9 baking dish with 1 tbsp margarine. Cover bottom of dish with chicken. Add broccoli to cover chicken. Cover broccoli with sauce mix.

  5. Cover with cheddar cheese and evenly spread bread crumbs on top.

  6. Melt 4 tbsp margarine and drizzle over bread crumbs.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until heated through.
