A good classic which has a variety of textures, added to by the apples.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Curry

225 g carrots,
225 g onions,
1 garlic clove,
225 g apples,
1 tbl lemon juice,
1 tbl olive oil,
2 tbl curry powder,
1 tbl flour,
600 ml water,
450 g diced chicken,
50 g sultanas,
300 g brown rice

Recipe Directions for Chicken Curry

  1. Firstly peel and dice the carrots, onions and garlic, then peel and core the apples and dice them. Leave the apples in the lemon juice.

  2. Soften the onions in olive oil and then add the gralic, curry powder and carrots. Cook for a further 10 minutes.

  3. Add the chicken and stir for 5 minutes to seal the chicken. Mix the flour and water then sieve into the pan with the other ingedients. Cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes.

  4. Whilst the curry is cooking cook the rice according to pack instructions.

  5. Serve
