You must use light wheat bread. Oroweat or Schwebel's is the best since they only have 11 and 10 net carbs, respectively. This is not a low-cal sandwich. Just low-carb and absolutely delicious.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Club Sandwich (15 Net Carbs)

2 slices light wheat bread
4 oz chicken breast, grilled
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/3 avocado
3 slices bacon
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 oz alfalfa sprouts
2 leaves romaine lettuce
1 slice tomato
1/2 tbsp onion
1 tbsp mayonnaise

Recipe Directions for Chicken Club Sandwich (15 Net Carbs)

  1. Coat chicken breast with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill for 5-6 minutes on each side over medium heat until cooked through.

  2. Toast bread lightly then spread with mayonnaise. Top with the rest of the ingredients.
