Good, quick, delicious recipe. This can be modified quite a bit to suit your taste.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Chow Mein

2 1/2 T Corn starch
3 T Soy sauce
2 c Chicken, cooked, diced
1 c Onion, diced
1/4 c Waterchestnuts, diced
1/2 c Bamboo shoots, diced
1 c Celery, diced
1 c Mushrooms, diced
1 c Green pepper, diced
2 c Chicken stock or boullion
2 T Olive oil
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Pepper
4 c Chow Mein Noodles
2 T Almonds, toasted

Recipe Directions for Chicken Chow Mein

  1. Mix starch, soy sauce, & gourmet powder in cup water. Set aside.

  2. Blend together oil, salt & pepper, & all other ingredients ? except starch mixture and chicken ? in a pot. Mix well, cover & simmer 10 minutes.

  3. Add starch mixture and chicken; mix thoroughly, continuing to stir until mixture thickens smoothly.

  4. Serve over rice with crisp noodles and almonds.
