Chicken Chow Mein Recipe

A light but tasty meal which does not pile on a whole heap of fat.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Chow Mein

1 tblsp Sesame oil
1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
1 Yellow Pepper
10 Spring Onions
2 Carrots
100 g Savoy Cabbage
1 tblsp ginger paste
1200 g Medium Noodles
2 tblsp Rice Vinegar
1 cup Soy Sauce
1 tblsp honey
200 g Chicken Breast
2 tsp MSG

Recipe Directions for Chicken Chow Mein

  1. Slice the chicken breast into thin slivers and marinade in 1 tblsp of Rice Vinegar and 2 tblsp of soy sauce and leave to one side.

  2. Thinly slice all the vegetables into strips approx 2 in long.

  3. Add oil to a hot pan or wok and add ginger paste. Turn for approx 30 seconds and then add the chicken strips with marinade. Add honey and fry chicken till it has nice golden glaze.

  4. Add all the vegetables and agitate in and stir fry.

  5. Add noodles to a large colendar and pour boiling water over them to open them up. Add into the stir fry and agitate in. Add th rest of the Rice Vinegar, MSG and Soy sauce and cook for approx 4 mins.
