Rather tasty and pretty simple chick and cheese burgers I made out of complete and utter boredom.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Cheese Burgers

513 g ground chicken
1 egg
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
3 clove garlic
32 grams white onion
8 g garlic
56 g white cheddar cheese
1 oz lemon juice

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Cheese Burgers

  1. Mince garlic and onion and then set aside. I actually don't know if mince is the word. Could be you chop it. How about 'make tiny'? Make tiny the garlic and onion. Hint: Don't cry from the onion, and garlic peels will still to your fingers uncomfortably.

  2. Mix ground chicken and egg in a bowl thoroughly before adding garlic, onion, and lemon juice. Mix again. It will start to look like something you feed someone in a torture camp right about now. That's good. Also, some people will tell you to whisk the egg first. Those people want you to waste your time.

  3. Add any spices you may like! Last time, I added chili pepper, oregano, and salt. Other times, I may add none of those things. It is a constant mystery as to what I will do whenever I enter a kitchen.

  4. Allow the mixture to sit in the fridge for a while to let it get a little denser. I watched some Law & Order: SVU.

  5. Create four equal sized burgers, flattening them before putting a 1/4th the cheese in the middle and folding it altogether. Like. Just. Use common sense. You want the cheese in the middle of the burger, okay?

  6. Put olive oil in a pan on your stovetop because grills are hard to work and you're home alone. Sort of heat it up a bit. Hot oil is supposedly good for cooking in.

  7. Cook the burgers. Which is going to be really hard because your chicken mixture is mushy and getting on the spatula requires help from a knife and oh god, you're scared to turn up the dial on your burner past the medium numbers. A lot of this is trial and error, and also cutting the radius of the burgers when you're trying to figure out if they're cooked all the way through. Why would you have a thermometer to check the meat temperature? You aren't a scientist.

  8. Burgers are kinda grossly oily because you probably used too much. When they're done cooking, put them on a paper towel and hope it soaks out alla that junk. Oh look, it does! Joyous day!

  9. Eat your tasty burger (or not tasty, I don't know what spices you used) with whatever you want. I had it with french bread because I'm rustic and awesome. You might want it on a bun. You may eat it off of your lover's chest. All options. This is a judgment-free zone.

  10. Not a step, but a suggestion-- you know what's awesome when you're trying to figure out grams and why I tend to use grams to describe food amounts? Digital scales. Get one of those. Actually, it is a step. It's retro-actively step one. Get a digital scale. Tare zero is godly.
