20 oz Chicken, Breast, Meat Only
6 oz Long Grain
1 large Onions
8 oz Mushrooms
0.25 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached

Recipe Directions for Chicken Casserole

Thoroughly brown sausage in a medium sauce pan. Drain. In the same pan, sear breasts on both sides, reduce heat and cook until cooked through. Remove breasts from pan and allow to cool. While chicken is cooking, follow package instructions on rice, omitting fat. Chop onion and slice mushrooms, and place in same pan as sausage and chicken. Use a splash of white wine or cooking spray if pan is too dry. Put sausage, diced chicken, rice, and veggies in a 2-1/2 qt. casserole dish and mix to combine. In rice pan, mix flour and milk until smooth. Put over medium heat and begin to slowly incorporate the chicken broth. Add all the broth and cook until slightly thickened. Pour over casserole. Re-heat at 350 for about 30 minutes or until hot through and bubbly.
