Recipe Ingredients for chicken calzones

3 cups flour
1 tbs yeast
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 green pepper, diced
1/2 red pepper, diced
1/2 yellow pepper, diced
399 grams chicken thigh, skinless, boneless
1 diced onion
100 grams pineapple

Recipe Directions for chicken calzones

  1. pre-heat oven to 350F

  2. add yeast to 1 cup warm water let sit til bubbly and yeasty

  3. add flour and olive oil, knead dough until shiny and elastic-y about 8-10minutes

  4. roll out dough in giant ball divide into 6 portions and roll out each portion on floured surface approx 5" dia

  5. meanwhile cut chicken into bite size pieces and fry up in frying pan with onions

  6. add peppers/mushrooms/veggies of your choice to chicken add little water (1tbs) and cover with lid til veggies steamed

  7. divide mixture into six portions

  8. put desired amount of tomato pizza sauce and cheese into each rolled out calzone add chicken mixture and pineapple-y goodness

  9. seal with water on edges and fork pressed

  10. cook for 20 minutes or until tops browned
