Recipe Ingredients for chicken butternut tagine

1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 garlic cloves
12 ounces chicken breast
2 cups fat-free chicken broth
8 ounces butternut squash
1/3 cup olives
1/3 cup raisins

Recipe Directions for chicken butternut tagine

  1. heat oil in dutch oven or soup pot.

  2. add onion; saute till golden.

  3. stir in next 7 ingredients through chicken.

  4. saute a few minutes stirring

  5. stir in broth, squash, olives, and raisins (or dried plums)

  6. cover reduce heat and simmer till squash is tender.
