Homemade chicken broth & soup with noodles

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Broth

1 1/2 lbs chicken breast, bone in
2 cans chicken broth
8 cups of water
1 onion, chopped
3 stalks celery
2 carrots
4 cloves garlic
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp basil
2 tsp parsley
2 cups noodles
3 stalks celery

1 small onion

Recipe Directions for Chicken Broth

  1. Place all ingredients except noodles in pot; bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 2 1/2 hours; remove chicken to cool; strain broth, add chicken bouillon to taste.

  2. Pull chicken off bone when cool, cut into bite size pieces; bring broth to boil; add celery, carrots, onion and noodles; simmer covered about 8-10 minutes until noodles are tender; add chicken, heat through, serve
