This is out of this world. I only make this a few times a year so my family really looks forward to it. High in calories and fat, but sometimes you have to splurge. If you really want to splurge, serve with hot buttered garlic bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken, Brocolli and Ziti

3 chicken breast, boneless and skinless
5 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 salt and pepper to taste
16 ounce box ziti
5 cups (=1 bag) frozen brocolli florets
2 tablespoon butter
16 ounces heavy cream
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 nutmeg to taste

Recipe Directions for Chicken, Brocolli and Ziti

  1. Cut chicken breast into 2 inch by 1 inch chunks. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper.

  2. Heat a dutch oven over medium high heat. Once pan is hot, spray the skillet with non stick cooking spray and add olive oil.

  3. Saute chicken until lightly browned and cooked all the way through.

  4. Cook ziti and brocolli as instructed on packages.

  5. In a 2 quart saucepan, add butter, cream and cheese. Stir to combine. Cook over medium low heat until the cheese is melted. Stir occasionally and make sure you watch it - do not let it burn.

  6. Once everything is cooked, add all of it to the dutch oven with the chicken. Stir to combine everything. Make sure to coat everything with the cream sauce.

  7. Serve garnished with a small amount of fresh nutmed sprinkled on top.
