Adaptation of a Martha Steward recipe. Great alone or can be served with rice.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken broccoli with sesame seeds

1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
2 scallions, sliced
1/2 bell pepper, red, sliced thinly
1 egg white
1/8 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3/4 pound chicken breast, boneless, skinless
1 tablespoon canola oil
3/4 pound broccoli, microwaved until crisp tender
1 carrot, thinly sliced on the diagnonal
3/4 pound broccoli

Recipe Directions for Chicken broccoli with sesame seeds

  1. Chop chicken breast into 1 inch pieces

  2. Whisk cornstarch and egg white together, then add chicken breast with salt, and cayenne pepper and stir to blend.

  3. Heat one tablespoon of oil in large wok or skillet until very hot then put chicken in pan. Do not disturb until bottom side is browned well. Flip chicken over and continue to cook until there is no pink left. Don't overcook.

  4. Add broccoli, bell pepper and carrot and continue to cook until heated through.

  5. Meanwhile in another dish combine garlic,sesame seeds, honey, soy sauce and ginger and pour into pan when vegetables are done.
