5 oz ICBINB! Light (Soft)
12 oz dry Whole Wheat Penne
6 oz Red Onion
22 oz Broccoli
30 oz Chicken, Breast, Meat Only
1 tbsp Olive Oil
8 fl. oz Sweetbay 2% Reduced Fat Milk
8 fl oz Wine, Table, White
4 oz Peppers, Sweet, Red
1 oz (kraft) Reduced Parmesan style grated topping
4 oz Cabot 75% Light Vermont Cheddar

Recipe Directions for Chicken-broccoli with light cream sauce & penne pasta

  1. Cook whole wheat penne pasta until al dente

  2. Melt butter and add onions, sweet peppers

  3. Add 2 Tablespoons flour and cook until thick

  4. Add wine and milk

  5. Simmer sauce on low while preparing the rest of the meal

  6. Cook diced chicken in olive oil

  7. Steam broccoli

  8. Add grated cheddar and parmesan to sauce

  9. Assembly: put the broccoli in with the chicken, add the cooked penne pasta, cover with the sauce and toss

  10. Cook for a couple of minutes to blend flavors and serve
