A combination of chicken, broccoli, bell peppers and cheese wrapped in a crescent roll crust.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Broccoli Braid

16 reduced fat crescent rolls , 2 cans crescent roll dough rolled out flat on a cookie sheet
2 c chicken breasts, cooked and chopped
1 c broccoli, chopped
1/2 c bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c light mayonnaise
6 oz shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Chicken Broccoli Braid

  1. In a large bowl combine the chopped chicken, broccoli, bell pepper, mayonnaise, and cheese

  2. Season with salt, garlic salt, pepper and/or poultry seasoning to taste

  3. Roll out the crescent roll dough into one layer on a cookie sheet

  4. Imagine that you've cut the dough into 3 equal tall sections, in the next step, you are going to mound the chicken mixture in the center section, cut strips one inch wide in the outer 2 sections.

  5. Mound the chicken in the center, uncut portion of the dough.

  6. Lift and twist each strip of dough, and lay it on top of the chicken mixture, so that it looks like its braided.

  7. Bake in a oven preheated to 350 for 30 minutes
