Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Breasts in Garlic Butter with Chives

4 tsp minced garlic
2/3 cup chicken broth, low sodium
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 tsp olive oil
16 oz chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp butter
1/4 cup snipped chives

Recipe Directions for Chicken Breasts in Garlic Butter with Chives

  1. Whisk broth, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic. Set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Dredge chicken in flour, shaking off excess. Add chicken to pan and saute 4 minutes per side or until golden brown. Transfer chicken to plate with slotted spoon.

  3. Whisk garlic mixture to combine and pour into skillet. Bring to a boil, return chicken to pan, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook 5 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Transfer chicken to dinner plates or a platter.

  4. Return sauce to a simmer. Remove from heat and swirl in butter until cream. Stir in chives and spoon sauce over chicken.
