A family favorite; the balsamic vinegar gives the dish just the right amount of sweetness. You could also add 3/4 lb of mushrooms, cut in half with the garlic.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken breasts with balsamic vinegar

26 oz Chicken
0.25 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Bleached
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
1/4 tsp Spices Ground Black Pepper
2 tbsp Olive Oil
3 serving Garlic, Minced, Shaws
0.75 serving Cooking Stock
6 oz Vinegar
2 leaves Spices Whole Bay Leaves

Recipe Directions for Chicken breasts with balsamic vinegar

  1. Place flour in a shallow dish and season with salt and pepper

  2. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture

  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add chicken and brown on one side (about 3 min)

  4. Flip chicken and add garlic, cook for about 3 more minutes

  5. Add chicken broth, vinegar, bay leaves and thyme

  6. Cover and reduce heat to medium low

  7. Cook for 10 minutes, turning chicken occasionally

  8. Place chicken on serving platter and keep warm

  9. Turn up the heat and cook the juices, uncovered for 7 more minutes

  10. Add butter (optional), remove bay leaves, stir well, and spoon over chicken
