Chicken, asparagus, and pasta in a rich cheesy sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Chicken and Asparagus Pasta Bake

7 ounces whole wheat pasta, cooked
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup light soy milk
6 ounces shredded swiss cheese
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
1 lb asparagus, cut in one inch pieces
1 T olive oil
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1/2 t dried tarragon

Recipe Directions for Chicken and Asparagus Pasta Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and saute in half the oil over medium-high heat until cooked through. Take out chicken and set aside.

  3. Heat the remaining oil and saute apsaragus until tender (but not soggy).

  4. Add chicken, soup, milk, cheese, salt and pepper, and tarragon and heat through.

  5. Add pasta and sauce into a casserole dish and put in the oven for 20 minutes until bubbly.
