Recipe Ingredients for Chicken with apples and cider

540 g
2 T corn oil
2 small fuji apples
1 T dark brown sugar
1/4 t cinnamon
1/4 t salt
1/4 t pepper
1 onion
1/2 c apple juice
1/4 cup cider vinegar

Recipe Directions for Chicken with apples and cider

  1. Heat 1 T oil over med heat in a large nonstick skillet. Saute the apple until lightly browned, about 5 mins. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cook, stirring frequently, until tender, 305 mins longer. Transfer to a plate.

  2. On a sheet of wax paper sprinkle the chicken with cinnamon, slt and pepper. In the skillet heat the remaining 1 T oil. Saute chicken until browned, 405 mins. on each side. Transfer to another plate.

  3. In the skillet, cook the onion, covered until tender, 6-8 mins.; stir in the cider and vinegar. Reduce heat and simmer 2 mins. Return chicken to skillet, simmer, spooning the sauce over chicken until cooked through and liquid is reduced by half, 4-5 mins.

  4. Return apples to skillet, cook until heated through, about 2 mins. Arrange noodles on a platter; top with chickn mixture, pouring any remaining juices over chicken.
