A very light food for days when you want a hot savory soup but don't want to pack on extra calories or sodium.

Recipe Ingredients for Chick Pea and Sweet Pea Curry Soup

3.5 serving Garbanzos Chick Peas
3.5 serving Stone Mountain Sweet Peas
0.5 medium White Onion
3.5 serving Diced No Salt Added Tomatoes
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
5 serving Balsamic Vinegar

Recipe Directions for Chick Pea and Sweet Pea Curry Soup

  1. Saute Onion in oil then add to crockpot.

  2. Add all ingredients to crockpot after rinsing peas and chickpeas of sodium in the sink.

  3. Add spices to taste. Curry powder, ginger, lemon pepper, cayenne, black pepper, coriander, a little nutmeg and cinnamon combined with the balsamic vinegar makes this an exotic flavor but may acquire getting used to. I prefer using lots of cayenne making this light soup extra hot.

  4. Cook for as many hours on high as it takes for the chickpeas to soften up. Once they're soft enough to enjoy it's done.
