Chick peas spread that's great for spreading on crackers. Low fat and high in protein. A serving is 1/4 cup or 60 grams

Recipe Ingredients for chick pea spread

125 grams onions
260 grams chick peas
2 eggs
1/3 cup mayonnaise, low fat
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil

Recipe Directions for chick pea spread

  1. Chop onions finely. Fry in oil until soft.

  2. Blend chick peas, garlic and eggs in food processor. Add to onions in the skillet and fry until dry.

  3. Transfer to bowl. Add mayonnaise, salt, pepper.
