Good in a lunch, but also great for a quick breakfast or snack.

Recipe Ingredients for Chewy Energy bars

2 1/2 cups rice crispies
2 cups old fashioned oats
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup splenda brown sugar blend
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Chewy Energy bars

  1. In large bowl, combine the cereal, oats, and wheat germ. In a small sauce pan, combine honey, corn syrup, peanut butter and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until peanut butter is melted, stirring occaisionally. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture; mix well.

  2. Transfer to a greased 9-in. square pan. Gently press cereal mixture evenly into pan. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
