This is a wonderful recipe for those cold winter days. Very high in vitamin C, and high in fiber and iron.

Recipe Ingredients for Cheryl's Homemade Chili

2 pounds beef, ground, 95% lean, crumbled, browned
1 large onion, diced
2 banana peppers, diced
58 oz tomatoes
60 oz light red kidney beans
15 oz tomato sauce
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon basil
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Cheryl's Homemade Chili

Put beef, onion and pepper in a large cooking pot, add enough water to cover mixture, cook until beef is browned. Add diced tomatoes, beans, and tomato sauce, simmer until onion and pepper are soft, add spices and simmer for about 30 min's.
