Recipe Ingredients for Cherry Spice Muffins

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 eggs, beaten well
3 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
1 tbsp canola oil
1 cup milk
2 tbsp milk
2 tsp milk
1 1/3 cup cherry, pitted and chopped
2/3 cup walnuts, chopped
2 tbs brown sugar
2 tsp brown sugar
2/3 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Cherry Spice Muffins

  1. Reserve last two ingredients for topping.

  2. Mix wet and dry ingredients together.

  3. Add cherries and nuts.

  4. Pour into muffin pans with paper liners. Place 1 tsp of topping mixture on each muffin.(just use sugar for topping if trying vanilla instead of cinnamon)

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. (Makes 12 muffins.)
