A cherry pie with only half the work -- adapted from a Nectarine Gallette in Real Simple magazine.

Recipe Ingredients for Cherry Gallette

2.5 cup Dark Sweet Cherries
1 crust Pillsbury Pie Crusts All Ready Rolled
2 tbsp Butter
5 tsp Sugar

Recipe Directions for Cherry Gallette

  1. Heat oven to 375 with the rack in the lowest position. Place pie crust on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  2. Leaving a 2 inch border, top with cherries (pitted). Sprinkle with half the sugar and slices of the butter.

  3. Fold the edges of the dough toward the center, overlapping slightly and partially covering the fruit.

  4. Brush the dough with 2 teaspoons water and sprinkle with remaining sugar.

  5. Bake until the the crust is golden and the juices are bubbling, 35-40 minutes.
