Classic french clafoutis with low fat changes

Recipe Ingredients for Cherry Clafoutis

1 pound cherries
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup eggbeaters
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup 1% milk
1 pinch salt

Recipe Directions for Cherry Clafoutis

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F

  2. Wash cherries and dry them, but do not pit them. Reserve

  3. Mix baking powder and flour together in a mixing bowl, create a well and add the egg beaters. Then add sugar, milk, and salt stirring the flour into the mix. Finished batter should be smooth.

  4. Spray a 10 inch cake pan with non-stick spray. Stir cherries into batter, then pour it into the pan and bake for 45 min to 1 hour. When golden brown remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar.

  5. Serve hot or cold in the pan.
