Recipe Ingredients for cherry chutney

1/5 pound cherries
1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
1/3 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup raisins
1/8 cup currants
1 tablespoon candied ginger
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe Directions for cherry chutney

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, one hour.

  2. Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 30 minutes more. Remove from heat and let cool at room temperature. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.
