Cherry & Bluberry Dessert tarts

Recipe Ingredients for Cherry & Blueberry Dessert Tarts

16 oz Cherries
16 1/5 grams Cornstarch
1/4 cup Splenda
1/4 cup Blueberries
1/2 tsp Almond Extract
3/4 cup Rogers No Additive Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup Organic Naturally White Flour
2 oz Coconut Oil
0.13 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Cherry & Blueberry Dessert Tarts

  1. Combine fruit in saucepan cook until juices appear.

  2. Mix Splenda and cornstarch together and add to fruit to thicken fruit filling.

  3. Add almond extract & mix - set aside to cool.

  4. Combine both flour's with salt and chillled coconut oil in food processor and blend to a grainy texture.

  5. Add chilled water until dough forms into ball stage.

  6. Chill 1/2 hour

  7. Roll out and fill fluted tart tins with dough.

  8. Fill tins with fruit filling and bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until bubbling.
