Recipe Ingredients for Cheesy beef tenderloins

2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup reduced sodium beef broth(102617)
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (2069)
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
16 ounces beef tenderloin
1/4 cup Gorgonzola
2 teaspoons dry thyme

Recipe Directions for Cheesy beef tenderloins

Heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add onion powder, garlic and brown sugar and cook, stirring often, until brown. Add broth, vinegar and gorgonzola cheese, stirring, until the mixture turns into a creamy glaze. Set pan aside. Sprinkle the salt ,pepper and thyme on both sides of each steak. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in ta different pan over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook until browned, 3 to 5 minutes. Turn them over and top with cheese mixture. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook the steaks are cooked to desired doneness, 3 to 5 minutes for medium-rare.
