Recipe Ingredients for Cheesy Beef & Rice

1 cup parboiled rice
2 tbsp canola oil
3 cups water
2 medium carrots, shredded
2 tsp bouillon, beef
1 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 lb ground beef, cooked
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Cheesy Beef & Rice

  1. In large saucepan, saute rice in oil until golden brown.

  2. Add water, carrots, bouillon, and seasonings. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Add beef.

  3. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, stirring twice.

  4. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese.
