Recipe Ingredients for Cheese Roll (Company's Coming - The Rookie Cook)

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated, room temperature
4 ounce cream cheese, softened
1/4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
1 cup pecans or brazil nuts, chopped
2 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. chili powder

Recipe Directions for Cheese Roll (Company's Coming - The Rookie Cook)

  1. Mix first four ingredients well in medium bowl.

  2. Work in nuts with hands. Divide in half. Form each portion into 1 1/4 x 6 inch (3 x 15 cm) log.

  3. Combine paprika and chili powder in shallow dish or on waxed paper. Roll logs in spice mixture to coat well. Cover with plastic wrap. Chill for at least 2 hours. Cut into 1/4 inch (6 mm) slices. Makes 2 logs, each cutting into 24 slices, for a total of 48 slices.
