Recipe Ingredients for Cheese Fondue Recipe

2 cups Gruyere cheese
2 cups cheese, swiss (not processed)
3 tbsp cooking sherry, Kirsch or cooking sherry
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup white wine
1 clove garlic
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 dash White pepper
1 dash Salt

Recipe Directions for Cheese Fondue Recipe

  1. Grate cheeses and toss with cornstarch, reserve.

  2. Rub inside of fondue dish with garlic.

  3. Add wine.

  4. Do not bring to boil.

  5. Heat until tiny bubbles form in fondue dish.

  6. Add grated cheeses and lemon juice.

  7. Stir until smooth.

  8. Remove from heat.

  9. Add Kirsch or cooking sherry, white pepper and salt to taste.

  10. Serve with cubed crusty French bread.
