Recipe Ingredients for Cheese & Bacon Potato Gratin

750 g potatoes, sliced
300 ml semi skimmed milk
3 tbsp white wine
1 tbsp olive oil
60 g back bacon, diced (2 rashers)
40 g cheddar cheese, grated

Recipe Directions for Cheese & Bacon Potato Gratin

  1. Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 7/220C/425F.

  2. Put the potato slices, milk and wine in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Turn down to a simmer.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a fryingpan and fry the bacon until crisp. tip the contents of the fryingpan into the potato slices and stir gently, being creful not to break the potatos.

  4. Tip the content of the saucepan into a gratin dish or any other suitably sized dish.

  5. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake for 45mins to an hour.
