Recipe Ingredients for Cheddar & Thyme Muffins

2 cups flour
3 tbsp dry mustard
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup cheddar cheese
1 tbsp chopped thyme
1 1/2 cups milk
1 egg
1/4 cup melted butter
1/3 tsp Tabasco

Recipe Directions for Cheddar & Thyme Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line muffin pans with paper liners.

  2. Sift dry ingredients. Add grated cheddar and chopped fresh thyme.

  3. Blend milk, egg, butter, and hot sauce. Add to flour mixture. Stir until evenly moistened.

  4. Fill muffin cups about three quarters ful. Tap to remove air bubbles.

  5. Bake about 20-25 minutes.

  6. Cool in pan about 10 minutes before removing.

  7. Enjoy.
