Recipe Ingredients for Cheddar Chowder

2 cups milk
2 cups potatos, cubed
1/2 cup carrots, sliced
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/4 cup onion, diced
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

white sauce:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup ham, cubed

Recipe Directions for Cheddar Chowder

  1. Combine water, potatos, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper in a pot and boil for 10-12 minutes

  2. meanwhile (white sauce) in a small sauce pan melt butter, add flour, strir till smooth @ 1min., slowly add milk, cook till thick

  3. add cheese to the white sauce, stir till melted

  4. add white sauce and ham to the UNDRAINED veggies heat through.

  5. For thicker chowder simmer uncovered until desired thickness
