Delicious, quick-fix bread from India.

Recipe Ingredients for Chapatis

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup lowfat plain yogurt
1 tsp kosher salt

Recipe Directions for Chapatis

  1. Mix salt and flour (I use emmer flour, but a fine grind of whole wheat should work well). Whisk yogurt until smooth, then stir into the flour. Kneed for a few minutes, form a ball, and let the dough rest for at least half an hour.

  2. Heat a cast-iron skillet. Divide dough into 12 balls of equal size. Roll out to approximately 6 inches in diameter.
