Recipe Ingredients for Chapati

250 grams Spelt Flour
2 pat (1" sq, 1/3" high) Butter
0.5 tsp Salt, Table

Recipe Directions for Chapati

  1. Combine the flour and the salt in a large bowl.

  2. Slowly add 150ml lukewarm water.

  3. Knead the dough for 6-8min.

  4. Sprinkle it with water, cover it with a damp cloth, and set it aside for 30min.-1h

  5. When the dough is ready, place tava or a heavy cast iron-griddle over medium heat.

  6. With moistened hands knead the dough again, shape it into 15 equal sized patties.

  7. Dip them into flour then roll them out thin, and place them over the pre-heated griddle.

  8. When done hold the chapati over direct flame for a few seconds until it puffs up like a ball.
