Chickpea Curry Use red chili powder to taste. If you want a medium heat, add only 1/2 tsp.

Recipe Ingredients for Channa Masala

2 onions
4 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of oil
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 tablespoon of ground coriander
14 oz garbanzo beans
14 oz diced tomato

Recipe Directions for Channa Masala

  1. Slice onions finely, crush the garlic.

  2. Heat oil in a medium based pan.

  3. Add onion and garlic to pan.

  4. Cook over medium heat, until onions are soft.

  5. Add the chilli powder, salt, tumeric, paprika, cumin and corriander.

  6. Stir over heat for 1 minute.

  7. Add chickpeas and undrained tomatos, stir until combined.

  8. Simmer, covered, over low heat for 20 minutes stiring occassionaly.

  9. Stir in Garma masala.

  10. Simmer covered for another 10 minutes.
