Masala from Nandini's mom's recipe with chick peas and potatoes

Recipe Ingredients for Channa Aloo Masala

2 tbs garlic
1 tbs ginger
1 yellow onion
1 tbs olive oil
2 tomatoes
3 cups garbanzo beans
1 large potato
1/4 cup coconut milk

Recipe Directions for Channa Aloo Masala

  1. Grind together garlic, ginder and onion. Add cinnimon and clove.

  2. Grind till a paste.

  3. Fry paste in 1 tbs of olive oil until paste sticks together.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for a few minutes.

  5. Add chick peas and potato.

  6. Simmer for 15 minutes.

  7. Add coconut milk to thicken.
