Chickpeas, tomato and onion in spicy spinach sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Chana Saag

2 cup Spinach
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 can Chick Peas
12 oz Diced Tomatoes
2 oz Greek Yogurt
1 pepper Peppers, Jalapeno
2 tbsp chopped Onions
2 clove Garlic
1 tsp Ginger Root

Recipe Directions for Chana Saag

  1. Wilt/steam spinach until soft.

  2. Blend in food processor with ginger, garlic, jalapeno, and enough water to make a thick paste.

  3. Sautee onion in olive oil in a pan until soft. Add whatever Indian spices you have on hand (coriander, cumin, garam masala, etc)

  4. Add spinach to pan. Add chickpeas and tomatoes, both drained.

  5. Just before serving, stir in yogurt. Serve with rice or naan.
