Eat with rice & aloo paratha. Yum.

Recipe Ingredients for Chana Masala

30 ounce canned chickpeas
30 ounce Tomatoes, canned
1/2 cup rice
1/2 onion, medium
1 bell pepper, orange
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 cloves garlic
2 1/2 tablespoons masala
2 potatoes, small

Recipe Directions for Chana Masala

  1. Fry onion with oil until golden brown.

  2. Add minced garlic, stir until fragrant.

  3. Add chopped bell pepper. Cook until soft-ish

  4. Add tomatoes.

  5. Add diced potato.

  6. Add spices.

  7. Add 1.5 cup cold water.

  8. Stir 5 minutes.

  9. Bring to boil.

  10. Add 1 tsp baking soda.

  11. Lower heat & cover & simmer 40 min.
