Recipe Ingredients for Chana Dal

50 grams Chana Dal
1 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 1tsp Oil, Vegetable Corn, Salad Or Cooking
1 tbsp Tomato Paste
0.25 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
0.25 tsp Turmeric, Ground

Recipe Directions for Chana Dal

  1. Sautee onions in oil till lightly browned.

  2. add in tomatoes and after they are well cooked add in pepper, turmeric and tomato paste.

  3. stir in the boiled chanadal and add water.

  4. leave to cook for about fifteen minutes.

  5. serve hot alone or with rice
