Recipe Ingredients for Chai Almond Muffins

1 cup All Purpose Flour
0.75 cup All Purpose Flour
4 oz Sugar Light Brown
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/8 tsp Baking Soda
1 cup Pure Almond Original
0.988 oz Butter in Half Sticks
1 tsp Almond Extract
1 large Egg, Whole
0.5 tsp(4 g) Almond Extract
4 oz Confectioners Powdered Sugar
1/4 g Cooking Spray
0.5 oz Tea, Herb, Other Than Chamomile, Brewed

Recipe Directions for Chai Almond Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups: level with a knife. Combine Flour, Brown sugar, Baking Powder, Baking soda. If using tea bags cut open 2 tea bags of choice. I use Teavana Samurai Chai Mate tea. I grind up in coffee grinder and use 1 tablespoon. Add the tea to the flour mixtrue. In a seperate bowl combine the Almond Milk, melted butter, Almond extract, and egg, stirring well with a wisk. Add the almond milk mixture to the flour mixture, stirring just until moist.

  3. Place 12 muffin cup liners in the muffin cups: coat liners with cooking spray. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

  4. Drizzle topping:

  5. Combine 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract with powedered sugar and 1 tablespoon water, stirring until smooth. Drizzle over top of cooled muffins.
