It?s a simple dish, in theory. A mixture of ground meats, seasoned and rolled into little sausage shapes, and then grilled. The dish probably originated in Turkey. The name, according to some sources, means "little kebabs."

Recipe Ingredients for Cevapcici

16 oz Lamb, Ground
8 oz Ground Pork, Fresh
1 tsp Salt, Table
1 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 tsp Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
0.5 tsp Paprika

Recipe Directions for Cevapcici

  1. Mix all the above ingredients lightly. Refrigerate for a half hour to allow flavors to meld. Form into 12 small sausage shapes, about 3/4" by 3".

  2. Grill until nicely charred.
