Made overnight in a slow cooker. Easy to clean up b/c you do it double boiler style. Tis a delicious way to start the morning, especially topped with yogurt and a bit of honey.

Recipe Ingredients for Cereal: Steel Cut Oats with Molasses

1/2 c steel cut oats
1 1/2 c water
1/4 t cinnamon
1 pinch ginger
1 pinch ground cloves
1 T blackstrap molasses
1/4 c raisins

Recipe Directions for Cereal: Steel Cut Oats with Molasses

  1. Mix ingredients in a bowl which will fit inside a slow cooker or crockpot.

  2. Set the bowl in the slow cooker and add water to the slow cooker up the edge of the bowl (like a double boiler).

  3. Put the lid on, set the temp on low, and go to bed.

  4. Next morning, salt to taste, top with yogurt and a bit of honey. Yum.
