Recipe Ingredients for Cereal Fruit and Nut Bars (curves protein 1)

4 cups Cereal
7 oz. Dried Mixed Fruit
1/2 cup Dry Roasted Sunflower Seed
1/2 cup Unsalted Dry Roasted Peanuts
3/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

Recipe Directions for Cereal Fruit and Nut Bars (curves protein 1)

  1. To prepare, chop the dried fruit into smaller pieces.

  2. Spray 9-inch square pan with cooking spray.

  3. In large bowl, mix cereal, dried fruit, sunflower nuts and peanuts.

  4. In 2-quart saucepan, mix brown sugar, corn syrup and peanut butter. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.

  5. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

  6. Pour syrup over snack mix; toss to coat.

  7. Press firmly in pan.

  8. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

  9. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 4 rows.
