good for using leftover celery and onion, thyat's about all it takes. Celery salt makes it goo_od if you have it.

Recipe Ingredients for Celery Soup

5 stalks celery
1/3 c onion
1 c water
1/2 tsp celery salt
2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
2 c powdered milk, made up
1/8 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp celery salt

Recipe Directions for Celery Soup

  1. chop celery and onion small, you will have to cook the dickens out of it to break down the celery fibers in the 'veins'.

  2. cook the celery, onion, 1 c water, and salt in a small or medium pot about 15 min, or more if you are at higher altitude.

  3. do not drain! keep all the good celery water.

  4. meanwhile, make the white sauce, i use powdered milk.

  5. mix the two things together, and blend with a blender stick.

  6. cook a little more if you need to.

  7. then, we add hot sauce, just to be warm.
