This is a wonderful dish that is like lasagna but much easier to make.

Recipe Ingredients for Cavitini

16 oz lean ground turkey
8 oz turkey pepperoni
15 oz tomato sauce
26 oz spaghetti sauce
8 oz rigatoni
8 oz pasta
4 oz mushrooms
6 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded

Recipe Directions for Cavitini

  1. Brown meat, drain

  2. Cook both cups of pasta I use whole wheat (shells and rigatoni [spirals]) according to package directions

  3. Add tomato and spaghetti sauces, mushrooms pepperoni and seasonings

  4. Bring to a boil and simmer 10 min

  5. Put pasta in the bottom of a 13x9 dish, add meat mixture and stir

  6. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake at 350F for ten minutes or until cheese melts
